Mou Waho Island

A Dogless day as I could not go on this island being a native bird reserve so I stayed home and sighed at The Bossess a lot which did not result in anything remotely exciting happening. 
I can report however that this boat trip is a must do for visitors as this island has a lake in it and an hour hike to the summit brings this view. I must also bark that heaps of care is required while taking photos as the best view would be from a rocky outcrop that slopes down from the top and if you slipped it would be the last thing you did on this island and anywhere else for that matter. The Boss did NOT go there.
So The lake is the foreground (several hundred feet above Lake Wanaka) and behind the rim of bush is Lake Wanaka and behind the little neck bit further away is also Lake Wanaka. (iPhone Pana)
There are 2 extras today being the lake on the way there and Pete attempting to get an interview with a Weka on his movie camera.
The Boss enjoyed himself and instead of taking me out on his return mowed the lawn. Sigh
