Thank You
Tesco breakfast in bed this morning with the big telly on as we were up nice and early after another ordeal of sleep / non-sleep due to Boy. After Ben and Holly's little kingdom we headed out to Wife's home town village to see Granny. The little ones were pleased to be there and had great fun finding their toys and doing all the garden things they love and can not do at home. Granny headed out to see Grandpa while we had some lunch and walked the village before joining them. Walking in a rural village with our two little townies is always interesting, both suddenly struggle to walk and they dispute over which animals they want to see. Boy wanted to see horsies, Girl didn't.
Sadly Grandpa was having another quiet day. It was nice to walk in and see his old friend chatting and caring for him. Though Grandpa is seemingly asleep most of the time I am sure he can hear us, so I talked. Mind you he would have a good job not to given the noise from our little ones. Grandpa did seem to react at one point when Boy got upset and cried Grandpa seemed to try and distract him from his tears by wiggling the toy pink fish around.
It is sad and strange to see how someones health can be effected so quickly. The only positive is the sheer amount of love and devotion I see in its adversity. I realise this love and devotion has always been there but it is these moments that make it so apparent.
Mixed in amongst all this you are only distracted by the odd child trying to wedge her little brothers finger into the water feature.
