Mad hair !

Off to St Abbs for 7 days sun, sand and sea. Although going by recent weather it's more likely to be wellies and waterproofs !

We've stayed in various houses here over the years but this week we are staying in one that will accommodate some friends when they come to visit us.

St Abbs has changed over the years. The schoolhouse is now a cafe and the Village Hall is a visitor centre. Sadly the village itself is mostly made up of holiday homes now, but originally it would have housed fishermen and women.

This little sculpture was commissioned to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the great fishing disaster of 1881. You can only see the back of it here, but it is a beautiful little thing and I think you should go visit it !

Bit stormy tonight - made for some interesting hair do's !
