River cruise Periya

Today we had an early start and went on a river cruise. We saw all sorts of wildlife and birds and it was amazing. Then we went to a reserve and had a 2 hour walk and saw more wildlife and birds and it was equally amazing! Finally, we visited the garden of Mr Abraham, right in my extra photo. Our guide is the other person in the picture and he was absolutely outstanding!
Anyway, Monty Don has written a book called 80 gardens of the world and Mr Abraham's garden is one of them. He proudly showed us Monty Don's very well thumbed book, which was signed by Monty, and he told us all about his visit there. We then went round the garden which is mostly spices but includes coffee and massive lemons and bananas. We then bought some spices. I wanted to buy them all, but my case's weight limit would not permit it!
