A walk in the park
The sun was shining, at last. R wasn't working a weekend, at last. It all added up to a walk in the park and lunch at Pizza Express.
Miss A took her balance bike out for the first time and I was sure this would be my blip today. She was unsure of her ability and wanted daddy to hold onto her all the way to the park. It was just lovely to see her blossom later as she rode home. She still needed some assistance as she negotiated steering but she was much more confident building up speed and really enjoyed it. The only downside was that Little D was beside himself as he wanted to have a go too. Another trip to the bike shop required, I think.
Little D was in his element in the park and I think we managed to stop and talk to every dog owner in north Edinburgh, such is his obsession with dogs. I couldn't resist this shot of Miss A, Little D and a big, cuddly Bernese they befriended. It also shows just how much they adore one another, I think. Having two children so close together seemed like madness at the time but it's most certainly paying dividends now.
