Don't worry...
A little play on words/vegetables - smacks of an emergency blip and that's exactly what it is.
I could procrastinate no longer and had to get on with the accounts. It all added up to a very dull day. Thankfully Aunty Sandra and big cousin Robyn came to rescue the kids from certain boredom and took them to the zoo.
They had quite an adventure, coming face to face with rhinos, monkeys and meercats, to name but a few. They paid the pandas a visit but they must've still been on Chinese time as they slept through the whole thing. All was good with the world until they arrived home. Miss A went into meltdown and there was no talking or reasoning with her, the only thing that could sort her out was sleep. She crashed out before I could read her any stories and Little D went to bed just after.
It was a quiet evening but just as we were about to go to bed, Miss A woke at 11.45pm, demanding her stories and milk. In order to stop her wailing and keep Little D sleeping I relented and found myself reading bedtime stories with a torch at midnight. I think I'll stick to the more conventional bedtime routine from now on.
