The reason

That I celebrate being a mother.... This beautiful little person. The beautiful little person who chose gifts all on her own for me, wrapped them, coloured & wrote a gorgeous card and made me a cup of tea in bed. Before dragging me out of it at 6.20 to see the display of loveliness she'd put together.

We went to church. She had a brilliant time in Sunday School making a huge plateful of decorated buns to bring home with her. We got home just before Granny and Grandad arrived. Katie had prepared a surprise for Granny, who is a massive Elvis fan. She'd learnt "Love Me Tender" on the clarinet to play to her and was adorable when she played it to her. We had a lovely dinner together before we gave Granny her gifts. After lunch we pottered for a while before we had a little walk into town & found coffee and cake. A gentle but lovely Mother's Day.
