Stunning Arrochar Alps

We woke to a glorious day. A walk with the dog by Loch Achray produced some lovely photos. Then a drive over the Duke's Pass produced some more. As did the drive to Stronachlachar where we were delighted to find the cafe open. Now open all year round and we had a delicious lunch, sitting outside in shirtsleeves.

A trip to Inversnaid allowed us an hour's doze in the sunshine then a visit to Aberfoyle and the day's outing was nearly over, apart from a walk by Loch Achray as the sun set.

It was one of those days to rejoice in Scotland's scenery. This is one of many potential blips. This is Loch Arklet with, I believe, Beinn Narnain, Ben Vane and Ben Vorlich in view. I'm happy to be corrected if this is not the case.

It was such a lovely day (Air temperature 8oC) that even the flying insects ( they looked too big to be midgies) were beginning to appear - in March!!
