Inukshuck...
...on Whistler Peak, specially for Inukshukne!
An Inukshuck is a traditional sculptural form made of unworked stones and used by the Inuit for communication and survival - Inukshuk means "in the likeness of a human". There are several in the Whistler/Blackcomb area.
Happily we didn't have to depend on this one for survival - a beautiful morning so we could see the mountains all round from this high ridge. You can see the "Black Tusk" rock if you look beyond the sculpture.
It did mark the way, however - from "Peak to Creek", a 7k run which took in all sorts of ski conditions from powder to ice! The coffee and cake in the valley was very welcome...
A great long morning's skiing before the excellent visibility turned to greyness again.
