Rain and snow on a metal roof...

...and wind on the ridge...
Early this morning we heard the rain falling on the metal roof outside our window, and the wind blowing in the trees... so we didn't rush...
We wandered along for a lateish breakfast, and already some skiers were giving up and heading back to their digs - they looked sodden. We chatted to one young man who said the snow was heavy low down, no lifts were open high up, and there didn't seem any prospect of improvement - so we wandered back and had a gentle morning reading. It improved a bit later, so we went out for an airing and thought we'd go up the gondola just for a last look and a coffee - but it was still closed at the top because of the wind. A disappointing last day in terms of skiing - but nice to know you've made the right decision!
I did fartnarkle this differently in Snapseed, but then Blip said it wasn't a jpeg and I had to go with this one. It seems to be filters causing the problem - any ideas?
