No. 5 Blythswood Square

On the north side of Blythswood Square, No. 5 has a distinctive and delicate Glasgow Style doorcase: this was the entrance to the former Ladies Artists' Club and was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1908.

Just round the corner was the first marital home of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Margaret Macdonald - a first floor apartment - now rebuilt as Mackintosh House.
