Mackintosh Lamp

It is so easy to drive by this wrought iron lamp in Skelmorlie and not realise it was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, c 1894.

The lamp is located at the entrance to Wemyss Bay Parish Church, which was designed by John Honeyman in 1893.

An almost identical lamp appears in Mackintosh's perspective drawing for Martyrs' School.
