the tooth fairy
so...this happened!
first tooth fell out!
he'd just got into bed when i heard quite a kerfuffle, then a bit of a shriek, then they both came downstairs, screaming. diddy with a mouthful of blood, a tooth in his hand, and lily looking really concerned. we had a little cuddle and talked about it some more. he told me he was sad because he wanted to keep his teeth. we talked about growing up, about how fast callie's teeth are growing and what a big boy he's turning into. he asked me if he still had a cute smile. i almost sobbed at that point.
my darling boy, you will always have a perfect smile because when your grin is wide and your eyes are sparkly i can tell your heart is happy and that's the best kind of smile there is.
he's written the toothfairy a little note. he's ok with letting her have his first one, but might like to keep the rest of them. i'm not sure what he plans to do with them...
as he was walking back up to bed, smile reinstated and tooth in a little box he casually mentioned that the tooth fairy is going to surprise us tonight. with what i ask? some money? nahh not just that....
"she's going to make our easter bonnets for the parade and they'll be waiting when you get up!"
oh!
HELP!
