If I’d known the rally cars were coming through Ambleside today between forest stages I would have been prepared. What makes it worse is that the cars had to come over Kirkstone as the A591 is still closed at Thirlmere. Think of the bends I could have waited on, with great scenery behind. 


Instead here’s the best of a bad bunch of about 30 roadside shots.  The alternative blip was a duck, but I can get plenty more of them.
