A long walk into and back from town. Enjoyed the coffee though. Had my ukulele restrung with better quality strings which made an immediate impact on the quality of the sound.

After lunch there was just time to push the mower around the lawn for the first time this year. I subscribe to my old dad's approach to lawn mowing: leave it as late as possible, cut it infrequently and long and leave it long over winter. He was a professional gardener all his working life- over 65 years - so he's cut a few lawns in his time.

Finished just in time to watch England nearly throw the game against Wales. Well in front for most of the game they contrived to let the Welsh score two tries right at the death. Once again ill discipline, this time by Dan Cole, reduced England to 14 men during the crucial time when the Welsh scored their tries.
