Black headed gull
Summer must be on it's way as the black headed gulls are starting to get their Summer plumage and their recognisable black heads. This gull was interested in something the tide had washed up at Merkinch, just outside Inverness. A few seals bobbing about and lots of Guillemots flying pass. A cormorant sat at the end of the old ferry slipway.
A fantastic afternoon for Scottish sport . A brilliant win by Ross County in the Scottish League cup final and an extremely entertaining game of rugby between Scotland and France in the Six Nations resulting in a fantastic win for Scotland.
My extra is a Snowdrop in memory of the horrible events that took place in Dunblane 20 years ago today.
