Moomba Festival

We spent the morning working on UK stuff that happened Friday (its a bank holiday here), a few bits and bobs come in that Chris needed to attend to from other parts of Oz who are not on  bank holiday and then we got the train into the city and spent a few hours having a look at the Moomba Festival and the activities on the River.  I have to say Melbourne know how to throw a festival!  Very well organised and considering some twerps at the weekend tried to cause a fight (a gang got all hot under the collar) the police were very present and the whole afternoon had a fantastic feel to it (the festival ha run from Friday to today.  We also enjoyed a potato type thing on a stick, walked up to China Town to burn off the potato, had a look around china town and then headed back to the station, stopping off for a sushi roll.
 
 We are now back 'home' and we both have a conference all with the UK in an hour, after which I will do dinner.
 

In other news Dad is a lot brighter and managed to make it down to the lounge today, we wanted to move out of the bedroom so my sister and niece got him downstairs and then went back later on in the evening to help him up to bed.  Mum has gone down with a nasty cough but is still being a trouper with Dad.  The dr will visit tomorrow with blood test results and the helping hands people will visit to help bath dad.
