Not a Vase

Years ago at college, we were given the task of creating a ceramic structure inspired by any sort of seed pod - the only constraint being Do not make a vase! My resulting effort, now consigned to the garden, became known as my not-a-vase. Just recently, filled with rainwater, it's become a favourite perch for thirsty birds, sometimes a robin, but, today, a bluetit.
