Domestic Bliss

Another day of fine weather. I headed off to Johnston Gardens in the hope of getting a photograph of the Mandarin Duck. I did catch a distant view of Mandarin Duck, but too distant to photograph and then he disappeared not to be seen again while I was in the park.

I did catch this pair in a moment of domestic bliss. A little earlier he had been having a wash. Unfortunately I had to use a high ISO to catch him, and even then the shutter speed was not fast enough to freeze him in action. If the weather holds I will have a go on another day, I have included that photo as an extra.
