The dish washer is out of action!!

Or I’m now chief cook and dishwasher!!
 
The offending lump has been successfully removed under local anaesthetic this afternoon.
 
We discovered wet patches on the kitchen ceiling this morning, that weren’t there yesterday!! Call to the plumber who was away for the weekend….arrival of his deputy and apprentice……..holes cut in the bathroom tiles in two places…….no leaks or water seen…..4 holes cut in the kitchen ceiling (extras) ……….water!!!!! It appears that one of the pipes had leaked with a surge in pressure, but is not leaking now!!!! 

The end result was that the kitchen has had a good unexpected cleaning session when they had gone.
