Dull, dull, dull…
Had to pop to the library today and deliver a birthday present, so I extended my walk along the banks of the River Chew. In “The Great Flood of 1968” the Dapps Hill bridge was one of the many bridges along the river that was damaged or swept away by the flood. This photo shows the damage caused to the bridge, and here you can see the Duke of Edinburgh talking to one of the residents of Dapps Hill whose house was flooded.
It was a much milder day than yesterday, but the light was very flat and the scene devoid of any Spring colour. Dull, dull, dull…
