Day 12 - Franz Josef

Can not even find the words to decribe today!!

Yesterday the rain was so bad that we thought everything was going to be canceled today. But nope! Luck was on my side! First started at 8.30 with kayaking on lake Mapourika which once was a glacier such clear water, we kayaked down a little creek where kiwi birds live and got took out by a huge over hanging tree! Was great!
Then I headed towards town for a helicopter ride! Was out of this world!! We stopped on Franz Josef glacier for pictures and a snow ball fight then flew over the mountains and lakes. Definately one of the best things I have ever done!!
After coming back to earth we headed on a trek up towards tunnels which were through the rain forest was very nice. When a finished the hike we stopped off at a kiwi bird santuary to see some real life kiwis (there nocturnal) which was a nice finish to a unreal day!!

Also had dinner at a Asian restaurant called king tiger. Yum!
