Day 13 - Franz Josef to Christchurch New Zealand

Last day of the sweet as south tour! We started the day off with fresh pancakes then we headed to Hokitika (pictured in the beach there) where we went to the Jade factory. All the different Jade stones that is only found here in the south island. Very expensive! But was cool to watch how it is made. Was also a little man painting stones which were lovely.

We then headed to a small village authers pass where we had ice cream and dipped out jade stones in the fresh water there. Apparently if you dip the Jade stones in the fresh water and then wear them it is seen as good luck. Also if you wear the Jade stone and give it to someone else it is seen as giving them a piece of you. Which I thought was nice :)

We arrived in Christchurch where we unloaded had our final dinner together and said our goodbyes! This trip has been amazing with amazing people. Roll on the north island....
