Adolescent

I’m keeping a watch on this praying mantis nymph. She has grown so big and wide that surely she will be making the big move to adulthood any time now.

Edit:  The nymph is not missing an antenna. She has it folded down in front of her. I checked next day. Their antennae are very flexible.

The rain was significant- 33mm, which is a lot for here. Enough to perk up the trees, bushes and plants that were wilting.
