Hoy Routes
I went to the right and saved 2 miles. By returning the same way I saved another 2 miles. Adding them together made 4 miles, which meant that the route back was 0 miles! Nice!
I went left and walked up to the Dwarfie Stane car park to monitor the white-tailed sea eagles that, it is hoped, will nest on the cliffs there this year. I monitored them a lot last year. Their nesting efforts then were seen by the experts as a rehearsal by the birds. Not much activity there today though. I did not see the female at all and the male only appeared briefly. It was still nice to see him. Other birds- hen harrier, peregrine, ravens, several stonechats etc.
