Raven on Marwick Head
I went up to the hide at The Loons. There were coots, moorhens, gadwall, tufted ducks, teal, wigeon, greylag and white-fronted geese, lapwings, curlews, a sparrowhawk and a short-eared owl. Then I walked to Marwick and onto the cliffs. The pair of ravens that nest there were about. I watched the male in a field eating rabbit. He filled his crop and then flew onto the cliff-top where the female waited and he gave her food. This raven allows very close approach and I have taken his photograph many times. I think he actually is intrigued at the sounds of the camera. More shots here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/octobermoth/
