Nine's Study

Once again we are visiting our friends Nine and Didier at their home just outside of Rennes (two hours west of Paris on the TGV).  Nine (pronounced neen) is a wonderful maker of quilts and all sort of needlework, and more generally she has an extraordinary decorative sense. Every room in in their house is a pleasure to be in.  We arrived late this afternoon, and enjoyed a wonderful dinner (with blanquette de veau--a sophisticated veal stew as the main dish).  Tomorrow we're off to Mont Saint Michel--stay tuned.
