By the time he'd woken up and we'd decided which mode of transport to use, which hat was acceptable, that shoes would be better than wellies or snow boots and walked (mostly with him doing some of the walking) to Ocean Terminal to meet Edgar and Nicky on their trip to spend World Book Day tokens there was a text on my phone from twenty minutes earlier saying that they were back home, so we bought a snack and walked most of the way back again.
