Moment to Shine
Rumour has it there's a wee cauldron of fire making its way to London for a party in a couple of weeks time. A wee birdy had told us that Rizzle Kicks were in town to make sure the fire didn't get lost on its way through Portsmouth. So, me, Emma and the wee yins headed down to Southsea to see what all the fuss was about. In true style, Megan was tired, hungry and just generally grumpy; Oliver found the local water feature and ensured that he and his clothes got a thorough wash. Luckily, a kick around with a new friend and a football ensured that his clothes dried in no time at all. Emma enjoyed the sounds of Rizzle Kicks, and I mananged to have a wee play with the camera.
I'm not sure who this guy was as we couldn't hear the commentary over the crowd, but he seemed to enjoy the moment - even if it was all a bit 'staged managed'. I'm sure if you head over to the London 2012 website, you can read all about it.
Going back to my earlier comments about the kids, we wasted no time at all in heading back home, Megan falling asleep on the way back to the stragetically parked car. We decided to allow Oliver to skip his evening bath, due to his earlier washing antics (if only we had brought some soap). Needless to say peace now reigns once again, until sometime tomorrow morning....?!
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
PS. Was that a bit of blue sky I saw today? In fact come to think of it, I dont think it rained at all. About blooming time!
