A New Broom Sweeps Clean...
But the old broom knows the corners :-))
That old Irish saying seems appropriate for two reasons today, firstly it's St Patrick's Day (Happy St Patrick's Day to the Irish blippers and anyone of Irish extraction :-) and secondly because I have been something of a not so new broom myself today.
There's something about sunshine in the month of March that gets my fingers itching for a clear out and that's exactly what I've been doing today.
Yes, when I could have been out enjoying the lovely weather with my camera, I chose to stay indoors and clear out my ironing cupboard! I did stop and spend 15 minutes with my camera to get today's blip (sorry another flower on my black granite worktop. The original in extras and I think I prefer it.) but apart from that I've been knee deep in clothes, shaking my head in wonder at what possessed me to buy half the stuff. No wonder my ironing pile never reduces, it's full of stuff I'm not likely to wear again, so don't bother ironing it!
I have been ruthless though and instead of 6 ikea bags full of clothes waiting to be ironed, I am down to two bags (spring/summer & autumn/winter) to be ironed and four bags heading to the charity shop.
I just stopped to answer the door (a clothes delivery. Oh the irony! ) Hahahahaha....just made myself laugh at the fact irony contains the word iron!!! :-))) and upload my blip and as I sit here typing, my stomach is growling like a tiger and I realise I've not had any lunch! I've been so engrossed in my task!
Better remedy that now or I'll be fading away to a mountain!
PS A friend me this link earlier and although it's an oldie, the Burniston boys never cease to make me laugh :-)))
