Baby Pukeko

I was in the gardens to look for a Flower Friday photo but came across a group of Pukeko who looked more interesting.  I talked to an American tourist today which makes a change.  He wanted to know what they were.  There were three bus loads of Chinese tourists today and some had impressive cameras and tripods.
The baby bird got separated from its family and instead of walking around the grass it swam across the pond to find them.  That was cute to watch.
We are off to Auckland tomorrow for the wedding of a niece so there will be a gathering of the foresters family.
