Spring waders
Here they all are, Lapwings and Oystercatchers, gathering to bathe and feed together prior to nesting. Lovely to see and hear them.
Later, was sitting having lunch on the lochside, where, as forecast, you can see it was sunny in the west with cloud lifting in the east. It's quite a long way from the nearest village and, suddenly, two flashing fire engines raced past me, heading for the Corrieyairack Pass. They returned more slowly about half an hour later. Presume, it was nothing serious.
