BLOSSOMS AT A VERY COLD DAY

We did awake with sunshine. Again it was seven o'clock.
Piet Hein suggested I should choice our outing, of course we would go in the morning. Enjoying the freshness of the day.
I pointed at the map, let's walk from Gieselwerder to Oedelsheim, both are situated at the border of the river Weser. One way through the forest uphill, and back on the cycle path along the river.
When we took of, the sun had already disappeared and when we came in Gieselwerder it felt fresh.
We walked over the long bridge, found our path easily, and up in the hills we went, very steep at first.
Then the path went straight. At some point a path went down and looking a lot at the map, we thought that this would propably not our path to Oedelsheim. So we continued our walk on our broad path, looking around us for some interesting view. Trees, trees and more trees, trees which hided the view upon the valley of the Weser and the mountains at the other side.
Then we wondered where we were, at our right there should appear fields, but there were none, only trees, very high trees.
At that moment we discovered that we had to look for a path down, because we were much too high up. And we found such a path and reached Oedelsheim at last.
The air felt very cold, nowhere a place where we could drink a hot tea.
We sat on a bench near the ferry, a bit sheltered.
Instead of taking a bus back to Gieselwerder (we only later thought about that option) we walked the open field path, a strong wind blowing in our faces.
Of course we managed to reach that town, our bones throroughly cold.
The drive home we laughed about ourselves. When we come home, tea and in bed, we said.
Bikerbear is hosting the superb FlowerFriday Challenge and blossom flowers we found on our way is my answer.

My haiku:

Never give up on
Yourself, nature does not and
Why should we ....

And the proverb:

Nature is conquered (governed) by obeying her.
