Supper Time

Waited for ages for these two Highland coos to take their noses out of the hay, but they were enjoying it too much:-)

Checked the forecast and the best of the sunshine was in the west, so headed over to Loch Earn, via lunch in Crieff.  Looked in vain for the sculpture of "Still", the metal man in the loch, but it has gone.

We decided to make a return visit to Balquidder and beyond, as we enjoyed a lovely weekend there at the Monachyle Mhor Hotel for our 40th anniversary over eight years ago and hadn't been back since.  That was in November, when we were the only car on the challenging single track road. Today, the world and his wife had decided it was a nice drive and there were adventures at every twist and turn, especially when so many fishermen's cars were parked in the Passing Places:-)  I was so glad my husband was driving.

We did manage to stop to admire these Highland Cattle, with Loch Voile behind and the snowy peaks in the distance, but we never made it to the Hotel, as my nerves were in shreds long before then:-)

In spite of this, it was a really lovely day and hope yours was too.
