Ullswater

Off south to the Lakes today. Dull and grey as left home but on getting further west into sunshine and lovely views.
Because of road closures following the floods of storm Desmond we had to go via Ullswater to get to Coniston - and then we had yet another diversion due to closures of that road (not well intimated early on).
We stopped in Glenridding and had a pleasant walk up to Lanty's Tarn which we'd run past in November. There's a lot of clearing up work still going on and not all businesses are open, and the field the races had used was full of rubble but plenty of people about.
Then on to Coniston and our B&B, a good meal and "home brew" in the pub and an early night.
