Another endless Sunday
Today was Shrewsbury's first ever 10km race and so we were up and out early to watch it. Not sure I'll ever be forgiven for dragging SS out of the house before 9am on a Sunday though. It was a great atmosphere and we enjoyed watching all the very serious runners get ready. Our Shrewsbury 'celebrity' Marcus Bean started the race, watched the hundreds of runners trot by and then joined in at the back. Here he is looking fresh half way round.
We stayed right on the finish line, whooping and cheering until the very last runner had crossed the line - and it was only us cheering. I loved watching all the runners who had obviously achieved so much just by crossing the line. Totes emosh.
Then we had lunch, watched a movie, went for a walk, caught a few rays in the Dingle and had a sneaky drink all before 4pm. What is up with these ridiculously long Sundays?
Four. More. Days.
