Cathedral Cove

Despite the rain, or maybe because of it, we headed out to Hot Water Beach for low tide to dig our hole to sit in the hot water which comes up through the sand. We were joined by hundreds of others so left quickly. It did feel a bit naff.

More enjoyable for us was to walk from our lovely Airbnb to Cathedral Cove, where I took this picture of Mr C. The walk was very slithery in the mud from the rain, but worth it for the stunning beach. And the sun came out.

This is where Cook came to observe the transit of Mercury.
