The Wheatears have returned!

Rik's had the day off to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We went out for lunch to our usual spot but couldn't sit outside like last year as it was overcast and nippy. The weather was definitely warmer on this day 24 years ago.

We had a lovely walk towards L'Etacq and back to the car at Big Vern's. There were a few Pipit's around and a couple of Wheatears that have just returned from the Sahara! They're the first ones we've seen this year and hopefully not the last. More on Flickr including an unexpected flyby of a flock of Brent Geese and circling Marsh Harriers.
