The wonder of composting

I realise this looks pretty gross.  It's my favourite vegetable peeler which has been missing for months.  I've bought a number of replacements but none have peeled as easily or removed as little skin.
I was beyond delighted this morning when the gardener came to show me what he'd found in the compost heap.   A good wash and soak and I'll have it back in action.
