Cucumber

And so begins the Time of the Cucumber.

There was cucumber yesterday, there will be cucumber tomorrow.

One of the things about growing your own is that the supply is truly seasonal (and truly organic and truly uses about 30 food yards). It does sometimes mean seeking creative uses for whatever crop it is you now have quite a lot of. In the case of cucumbers we have no problem; S devours them.

Another fairly quiet 'sorting out' day today. Meeting in the morning, sorting in the afternoon. M & S cooked us a meal of nut roast and squishy-but-yummy orange surprise puddling, and E and I finished off the evening with an episode of Foyle.
