On the river Tay
What are they doing? Well, these men are fishing on the river Tay, Scotland’s most powerful river.
Extra photo shows a photo taken in 1895 of villagers curling on the frozen river.
We spent the morning looking around one of Scotland’s undiscovered gems- Stanley Mills just north of Perth.
Today the mills, built in 1787, on the banks of the river Tay have been converted into apartments .
But one large section is a museum and this industrial heritage is thought to be the best-preserved 18th century workspace anywhere in the world.
Well worth a visit.
