Mrs P
I was on peregrine watch again this morning, checking on the arrival of the first egg. Mrs P was looking fine in a tree but still not sure what nesting site she has chosen on the side of the old mill.
The other local pair at Derby Cathedral are also awaiting with some excitement. The local paper has reported that one of their ringed offspring from last year has regularly been seen sitting on an ospreys platform at Rutland Water. That could become very interesting when the osprey returns.
Other pairs of peregrines watched on webcams on Uni buildings in Nottingham and Sheffield both have eggs. Our pair was last to lay last year as well.
The extra is her flying off, not sure which I liked best
