The Foal and Pheasant

I thought that would make a good name for a pub.

I should turn right off our road to go to work but today I carried straight on for a few hundred yards to take a peek at the newly born shire foal.

The farmer Jim Yates belongs to one of the Shire world’s longest established families.  The Yates prefix for all home bred shires is ‘Cowerslane’. This colt is Cowerslane Jiminy.
