Magnificent Magnolia
We visited Batsford Arboretum in the Cotswolds a few weeks ago, and thought that we must return before Easter to see the magnolias which were then still in bud.
We were rewarded today by a beautiful display, before we had to dash off to the shelter of the cafe. We had planned to arrive early to avoid the rain which was due to come in about mid-day, but the forecasters were a few hours out, and it was drizzling quite hard by 11a.m. It's amazing how accurate the weather forecasts are these days though. It's only a few years ago when it was really hit and miss.
Thank you for all my birthday wishes for yesterday. It was much appreciated, and I had a grand day.
