Broken into the piggy bank

I have been saving 1p, 2p, 5p, 10p and 20p coins since September 2014, which was the last time I broke into the piggy bank. All this change goes towards most of the cost of the taxi to the airport. Takes a while to count it all out, bag it up and then drag it to the bank. The teller is always delighted to deal with all the bags, I'm sure.

Most of the day was spent on continuing to get ready for California on Saturday. Looked out the hikes we'd like to do in Palm Springs and also the best hikes in Yosemite. Started gathering together all the stuff that needs to be taken including all the gadgets and their power supplies as well as clothes. The suitcase will be bulging at the seams by the end I'm sure, especially with the hiking boots in.

Looking at the shot now it has the appearance of a model of an 18th century battlefield; the French ranks to the north and the British to the south with skirmishes going on inbetween.
