Just a donut

These donuts have remarkably little to do with my day but are my favourite of the photos I have taken today. I understand enough how good they look as I essentially took the picture to torment Anna for not coming on this morning's Albi walk with me. But donuts are really not my thing so that gap was not created by me and I was joyously not tempted. I was in there for the coffee which is very fine.

Today has been a bit of a mixed bag. J and A had a lively and hilarious morning with him attempting to teach her to drive a car without crashing and using all his money on repairs in a PS4 game.

And then he crashed. And it took us about 5 hours to get him back to what we might call the new norm. Which in the scheme of things is quite a lot less than it has been on other occasions. We were all a little disappointed as we had hoped to make it to the cinema this afternoon to watch Batman vs Superman but there will be many other days to watch that.

Instead we have had a super chilled out day which has involved Dog Bingo for me, Anna and Carlos, a couple of walks for the mutt, the writing of some Easter Egg hunt clues (we'll soon find out if the kids are on our wave length), the making of duck and chips, a lot of reading of the papers and even a sneaky afternoon glass of fizz in a local hostelry for me and Carlos.

What we like to think of as all very much not bad, after a rocky middle we will also give Saturday Part II a pass.
