Ocean film festival

Finished work early and collected Kilda. Found out at day care that they had kept her isolated as we hadn’t had the all clear form the vets. Managed to get hold of the vet and check that she is OK to go back in with the other dog. This meant she was still hyper when we got home. Took her for a walk and then fed her before RD and F arrive to dog sit for us. SC had bought us tickets to the Ocean Film Festival that is going around the world at the moment. Some great films and a few that were just ego boosting. Best one of the night was all about Diana Nyad. She was a marathon swimmer, in her twenties she tried to swim from Havana to Florida in the 1990’s, around 103 miles that would take 90 hours. Unfortunately she failed. She then decided to try again when she turned 60. After swimming through a Portuguese man of war jelly fish on the first night and then again on the second night she had to give up. During her second attempt she had to give up due to injury. She then tried again and was pulled out of the water due to a tropical storm. Finally in 2013 she made it across. Fantastic film about a very special woman.
