These things are sent to try us

We went to explore up the coast to Great Yarmouth today. However the weather and Mr J's cold had other ideas. The wind was blowing a gale and we were all frozen walking along the promenade and nearly got blown off the pier! We took shelter in an arcade and Mr J tried his hardest to win a teddy. We then went and had some fish and chips. A wolfed his down but P started to say she felt tied and wasn't hungry.

We gave up on Great Yarmouth and went further up the coast to Southwold. Both children fell asleep and when we arrived I decided to stay in the car and Mr J went to the brewery. However the wind had gotten even stronger and Mr J gave up and came and got back in the car. We drive all the way back to the campsite before the children woke.

We had a lazy afternoon in the caravan. Eating chocolate, colouring, FaceTime with grandma and getting tea.

This evening Mr J stayed in the caravan to get some rest and I took the children to the entertainment in the show hall. P had a great time dancing and joining in with the games. A had a little go on the dance floor but was a bit weary of the older children. Afterwards I then took them to the Boathouse restaurant for ice cream. It was a nice way to end an otherwise disappointing day.
