Everything but snow!
Rain, wind, hail, and a little sun for our walk today.
This is Pen y Ghent, taken as we climbed the hill out of Langcliffe( Near Settle.....see map)
It was fine and dry as we reached Stackhouse, and then down onto the little hamlet of Feizor. Then the heavens opened.
How convenient. We just happened to be by the little cafe.
All decided to go in for tea and cakes until it passed over.
Not to be I'm afraid. They were almost full, and only had a table for 8. ( there were 16 of us)
So we took shelter under a roof of a barn until the shower passed over.
Then stated climbing again. ( see extra photo)
The sun came out, and it was very pleasant as we are our lunch, sat on some boulders, with a wonderful view looking over to Lancashire.
Not long after we set off we heard the thunder, then the rain came again, with a bit of hail thrown in at one point.
Rained most of the way back, and I now know I definitely need a new waterproof coat!
Never the less, we all enjoyed the day.
When there are a few of you, you can laugh as you battle through the rain and mud!
Only 6.5 miles today, but because of the conditions it felt longer.
Still glad we decided to go.
Must say I have just enjoyed a cuppa, and a hot cross bun.
If I have the energy will now start preparing our evening meal.
Something easy.
Sausages, mashed potato and ratatouille.
Hope you have all had a Happy Easter Sunday too.
