View from the back door

A slow start after yesterday's entertaining.  Today is mother's day, the day 34 years ago I became a mother.  Many photos sent of the family enjoying time together and chocolate cake - yum!

I tidied the kitchen and despite the cold did some light gardening.  I strung some heavy duty wire and sorted out clematis and honeysuckle. I also did some cutting back, my favourite task.  Too early to plant plants.

Later I bought some book for Olivia.  

The house guests went to climb a hill with #3 son and #1 girlfriend.  

It is very chilly, but luckily Katie has come nowhere near.
